Fan sweep is one part of choosing a ceiling fan. Sonex Regal lists 36-, 48- and 56-inch options, while many other ceiling models list 56 inches. Installation clearances and the room layout still need checking.

Measure before selecting a size
Record the room dimensions, ceiling height and the location of walls, beams, lights and tall furniture. Give those details to your installer. The required clearances must follow the exact product’s installation guidance, rather than a guessed universal minimum.
Do not infer coverage from diameter alone
A larger sweep does not establish a fixed square-foot coverage claim. Motor performance, blade design, operating speed and installation affect the result. Ask for documented airflow data when a precise coverage comparison is needed.
Check that the selector matches the order
Regal’s listed sizes share the reviewed price, so price does not identify the size. Keep the sweep size written on the order checklist. Confirm the electrical rating as well, because its current selector uses ambiguous “220w” wording.
Separate size from decorative appearance
A fan that looks light or heavy in a photograph may not be physically smaller or larger. Check the actual dimensions and ask how the mounting arrangement affects the installed position. For low or unusual ceilings, get installation advice before purchase.
